On 4/20, Snoop Dogg returned with a criminally smooth Mike Will-produced single, "Late Nights." He's since been revamping his label, DoggyStyle Records, by signing promising young artists and promoting their records through his SoundCloud. At age 44, he's as active in the rap game as he's ever been, and on July 1, he plans to drop what will be his 14th studio album.
He made the announcement on Instagram a week ago, and he confirmed the July 1 release date today during his latest Facebook live session. Watch the stream again here.
Last month, Snoop was in the studio with Just Blaze and Nipsey Hussle, and he played a snippet of a simmering Blaze production that he said was reserved for his next album. With that collab as well as the aforementioned "Late Nights" single, it's looking like Snoop's 14th LP will be an excellent body of work.
