It's now been two weeks since Funk Volume's Atlanta representative, Jarren benton, dropped off his EP Slow Motion Vol. 1. Since then, we've spoken to the coonskin cap-wearing MC about the new release, as well as his label boss Hopsin's recent retirement prank. Today, the dynamic duo (along with Locksmith) link up for a video for Slow Motion cut "Killin My Soul."
Opening with a shot of a cross, the video goes on to show Benton living in squalor in a rundown bus, and also chilling with a burning piano in a dank-looking cavern. Funk Volume's known for its grimy, non-materialistic take on hip-hop, and the "Killin My Soul" video hammers home that point pretty clearly.
