Over the past few weeks, Allan Rayman has gone from off my radar to the center of my music universe. He first captured my attention with "Interlude (Barry Moves)." Immediately after hearing the record, I immediately dug deeper. It's rare in hip-hop music that we hear something that feels comfortably familiar while still branching into unexpected territories; Allan's music does just that.
In line with the music, "Graceland" stands as one of the year's most interesting videos. On a site where all too often I'm expected to post videos about rappers sitting on rented cars with beautiful models, this one is refreshing. Props to director Steph Verschuren.
