Travis Scott earns his first No. 1 album with "Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight," which sold 88,000 units (including streaming) in its first week.

As predicted, Travis Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight will become the No. 1 album in the country. Released exclusively for sale on iTunes and for streaming via Apple Music, Scott's sophomore LP racked up over 88k in streaming equivalent album sales in its first week, reports HDD.

The album will debut at No. 1 on the imminent Billboard albums chart, which takes streaming into account. However, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight did not grab the top spot on HDD's chart that negates streaming numbers. A Day To Remember's independently released Bad Vibrations took No. 1 on the Album Sales Chart with 53k copies sold in its first week, reportedly beating out BITTSM by a mere few hundred albums.

The industry publication reports that the week's other notable rap debut, Isaiah Rashad's The Sun's Tirade, placed at No. 16 on the Sales Plus Streaming Chart with over 20k units and No. 12 on the Album Sales Chart with over 12k in pure album sales.
