In 2014, there's no doubt that rap beefs have gradually moved from the streets to the tweets, with artists taking shots at each other from the comfort of their digital devices rather than face-to-face. Rowdy Rebel and Bobby Shmurda's "Computers," taken from GS9's compilation mixtape, casts a disapproving shadow over that practice, and gets the video treatment today.
Much more high-budget and grandiose than the two videos that made Shmurda and Co. household names, the "Computers" video has all the elements of a "first big hip-hop video." There are fast cars, liquor bottles, slick nighttime shots, and some more advanced camera work, but none of that gets in the way of GS9's "bring the whole squad out for the video shoot" approach to filming shit.
