Thus far, Young Thug and Lil Uzi Vert have collaborated four times in their respective careers, starting with a track apiece on Luv is Rage and Slime Season 2, tapes that were released one day apart in Fall 2015. Since then, we'd only gotten "Yea Hoe," a loosie that surfaced last April, until this past week, when a new collab was included in a batch of tracks Uzi played on Shade 45. Clearly, people were fiending for these two to work together again, because the view count on that track is twice as high as any other song that dropped last week.
Lil Uzi, Young Thug, and Future are the only artists with multiple appearances in this week's top ten. New tracks barely missing out on spots include Belly's "P.O.P." (#11), A1, Chris Brown, and Ty Dolla Sign's "Always" (#12), Macklemore and Lil Yachty's "Marmalade" (#13), and YG, Blac Youngsta, and YFN Lucci's "YNS" (#15).
10. YG - Fuck It Up
One of two new songs YG shared last week, and now one of several YG songs that have very similar titles, "Fuck It Up" is a twerk anthem that should appear on the Compton rapper's upcoming Just Re'd Up 2 project. Personally, I don't think it's quite as dope as "YNS," but there's always space in the world for another no-nonsense booty shake track. "Fuck It Up" debuts at #10.
9. Tee Grizzley - Teetroit
Despite actually dropping in late 2016, Tee Grizzley's "First Day Out" has been one of the biggest breakout tracks of the year. Case in point? Not only does Grizzley's new track allow for his first-ever appearance in our top ten, but "Teetroit" did it in just three days, as it only dropped on Friday afternoon. The track debuts at #9.
8. Davido Feat. Young Thug & Rae Sremmurd - Pere
Another first-timer in our top ten this week is Davido, a Nigerian-born singer who recently collaborated with Wale. His new track "Pere" is certainly aided by the presence of three much larger names in America, but its approval with HNHH users (88%), has at least something to do with its lead artist. "Pere" debuts at #8.
7. Dave East Feat. Chris Brown - Perfect
Harlem's Dave East is currently gearing up for an album entitled Paranoid, and to give us a taste of what's to come, he shared a new Chris Brown-featuring single last week. "Perfect" almost lives up to its title, as its user rating currently sits at a stellar 93%.
6. Nav & Metro Boomin Feat. Lil Uzi Vert - A$AP Ferg
Nav's second project, Perfect Timing, seems to be faring a bit better than its predecessor, and "A$AP Ferg" is actually the third song from it to hit our Top Ten. Its user rating of 68% isn't the best, but it's also far from the worst one we've got on this list this week (more on that later). "A$AP Ferg" debuts at #6.
5. Tory Lanez Feat. Trey Songz - Wild Thoughts (Swave Session)
The only holdover from last week's list, this Swave Session of DJ Khaled, Rihanna, and Bryson Tiller's radio hit (currently #2 in the country) has proven quite popular, as any team-up between singers of this caliber should. This is the first time we've heard Tory and Trey together on a track, and let's hope it won't be the last. In its second week out, their take on "Wild Thoughts" is down three spots from #2 to #5.
4. Puff Daddy Feat. Biggie & Rick Ross - Watcha Gon' Do?
In a slightly odd turn of events (especially considering that Diddy allegedly punched Drake over the "0 to 100" beat), Diddy hosted OVO Sound's Beats 1 radio show last weekend, and on it, he shared this new track. Many were wondering if it'd include unreleased Biggie vocals, but unfortunately, the bars were taken from Duets: The Final Chapter's "Hustler's Story." "Watcha Gon' Do?" debuts at #4.
3. Kodak Black Feat. Future - Boost My Ego
Kodak Black's reached a place where he's immensely popular, able to garner a ton of clicks with each new release, but still also very divisive, as he's been since the start. This new collaboration with Future, taking from the upcoming sequel to 2015's Project Baby, rose up the charts very quickly but also has the lowest rating of our top ten this week, a measly 52% approval. Nevertheless, it debuts at #3.
2. Future Feat. Nicki Minaj - You Da Baddest
For some unknown reason, Future keeps adding tracks onto the end of February's HNDRXX, which already had a near-perfect album closer in "Sorry." First there was the Chris Brown collaboration, "PIE," and now "You The Baddest," a track with Nicki Minaj that's been rumored for a while, joins it at the end of the album. This one debuts at #2.
1. Lil Uzi Vert Feat. Young Thug - Bag
None of these new Lil Uzi tracks arrived in high quality audio, but that doesn't seem to matter. "Bag" got over twice the number of views as "You Da Baddest," its closest competition, even though it was scrubbed from the internet shortly after its leak. Hopefully this one ends up on the long-awaited Luv is Rage 2, though Uzi seemed to suggest that this batch of tracks didn't make the cut. "Bag" debuts at #1.
