This past week, the internet was abuzz about Nicki Minaj after she dropped two new solo joints, one collab with Young Thug, and some scandalous news about the making of hers, Migos', and Cardi B's "Motorsport." Both of her solo cuts make our top ten this week, but both fall below a song by an artist who hasn't enjoyed that level of internet hype in years: 50 Cent. Apparently though, Fif still has a healthy following on HNHH. Go figure.
Along with Nicki, Lil Uzi Vert is the only other artist with two appearances in the top ten this week. New tracks barely missing out on spots this week include Lil Uzi Vert's "Leaked" (#11), Lil Twist, Lil Wayne, and Trippie Redd's "Fires & Desires" (#12), Wale and Dave East's "Complicated" (#13), and Tyler The Creator's "Bring It Back" (#14).
10. Kid Cudi - Rage
For The Rock's new movie, Rampage, Kid Cudi opted to sample a '90s classic by Smashing Pumpkins (namely "Bullet with Butterfly Wings") that suits the angsty rocker vibe he's been cultivating since his second album. "Rage" debuts at #10.
9. Nicki Minaj - Barbie Tingz
Of the two new Nicki tracks, "Barbie Tingz" is a little less aggressive than "Chun-Li," but it's no bubblegum pop "Starships" either. Faring a little worse than its counterpart, "Barbie Tingz" nonetheless garners an 80% user rating and a #9 debut.
8. G Herbo Feat. Lil Uzi Vert - Who Run It (Remix)
Ever since G Herbo delivered a thrilling freestyle over Three 6 Mafia's "Who Run It" on a radio show a few weeks back, the 2000 track has seen a massive resurgence, with seemingly every rapper (even Juicy J) delivering a freestyle over it. Lil Uzi's take on the track has been tacked onto Herbo's original verse and officially released, and it debuts at #8.
7. 21 Savage - Who Run It (Freestyle)
Complete with Pen & Pixel-style artwork, 21 Savage's "Who Run It" freestyle also arrived last week. Despite still having plenty of vocal detractors focused on his rapping ability, 21 fared pretty well here, receiving 71% user approval on his way to a #7 debut.
6. Drake - Nice For What
The only remaining track from last week's top ten, Drake's "Nice For What" has now racked up double the views of anything else in this week's list. In its second week out, "Nice For What" is down five spots from #1 to #6.
5. Tekashi 6ix9ine - GOTTI
Tekashi just dropped a project, Day69, a month or so ago, but he's clearly got more in store for us. "GOTTI" arrived last week, and despite a 61% user rating, it debuts at #5.
4. Lil Uzi Vert - Bandz (Bye Bye Birdie)
Lil Uzi Vert endured a major hack last week, with all of his accounts getting taken over by a very dedicated troll (or, possibly just an elaborate marketing scheme). This track, however, seems a bit more official than the others that arrived last week, as producer DP Beats shared it via his SoundCloud account. "Bandz (Bye Bye Birdie)" debuts at #4.
3. Swae Lee Feat. Slim Jxmmi - Guatemala
The ins and outs of Rae Sremmurd's upcoming triple album, SREMM3, are getting so complicated that Swae Lee had to take to Twitter with a diagram to explain it to us last week. Leading to that confusion was "Guatemala," a Swae Lee solo joint that Slim Jxmmi also contributed a verse to. This one debuts at #3.
2. Nicki Minaj - Chun-Li
The second of Nicki's two solo offerings this past week, "Chun-Li" was clearly what her more rap-focused fans were waiting for, a bars-filled banger. This one got an 81% user approval rating and a #2 debut.
1. 50 Cent Feat. PNB Rock - Crazy
As of late, 50 Cent hasn't been that into collaborating with up-and-coming talent, let alone making music at all, but after months of teasing a collab with Philly's PNB Rock, he finally dropped it last week. "Crazy" has proven a major success on the site, getting 88% approval and a #1 debut.
