The Phil Jackson era in New York is coming to an end today.
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne is reporting that the Knicks will part ways with the triangle-crazed team president this morning, less than one week after the NBA Draft.
Between Jackson insisting that the Knicks move on from Carmelo Anthony, completely diminishing his trade value, and his comments about trading Kristaps Porzingis, the discussions with team owner James Dolan late last night reportedly resulted in the decision to part ways.
According to ESPN, Knicks general manager Steve Mills will stay in his current role and lead the team during free agency, which begins this Saturday.
The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Knicks are targeting Toronto's Masai Ujiri to replace Phil as the Knicks' President.
