Flying Lotus's film Kuso prompted walkouts during its Sundance premiere due to its extremely graphic portrayals of genital mutilation, a dude having sex with a sentient boil, and other stuff. The streaming service Shudder has acquired rights to the film and will release it on iTunes and Amazon on July 21st. It will not be available on Netflix. ("Netflix are scared as fuck of me," FlyLo wrote on Twitter.)
Kuso stars Zack Fox, Tim Heidecker, Hannibal Buress, George Clinton, and others. The premise is this: "Broadcasting through a makeshift network of discarded televisions, Kuso is tangled up in the aftermath of Los Angeles' worst quake nightmare. Travel between screens and between aftershocks into the twisted lives of the survived."
