May in hip hop and R&B: Bryson Tiller, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, SZA, and much more.

In 2016, HNHH launched one Spotify playlist to rule them all: FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now.

The playlist is updated on a daily basis and is representative of the best new releases in hip hop and R&B, or at least those that make it to Spotify. (Pour one out for T-Wayne.)

The biggest projects to come out in May include Bryson Tiller's True to Self, Gucci Mane and Metro Boomin's DropTopWop, Lil Yachty's Teenage Emotions, Snoop Dogg's Neva Left, The UnderachieversRenaissance, Russ's There's Really a Wolf, and Logic's Everybody. The month also witnessed the birth of numerous, less-heralded projects like ICYTWAT's Milk, Payroll Giovanni's Payface, J Hus' Common Sense, and Organized Noize's Organized Noize EP.

Our May playlist contains songs from these projects and numerous others, plus a few songs released in the first two days of June and a handful of songs released earlier in the year that remain at the front of our collective hip hop psyche.

Subscribe to FIRE EMOJI here and stream it below. For more, check out the full archive here.
