Bobby Shmurda is currently serving 7 years for third-degree conspiracy and weapons possession. The Brooklyn rapper has made a few public phone calls since his incarceration in 2014, most recently checking in with Meek Mill, where he revealed he's "getting big, and writing every day."
TMZ has reported some new information on Bobby's life behind bars, suggesting that the rapper (real name Ackquille Pollard) is working at the prison commissary at Clinton Correctional Facility located in upstate New York. Pollard is said to be making somewhere between 10 to 25 cents an hour for his work at the prison.
The report also refers to a "brawl" Bobby was involved in, though it doesn't seem like it was all that serious, as "corrections officers broke it up before anyone was seriously hurt." Bobby was given 30 days of isolation and lost phone privileges.
At the time of Pollard's sentencing, his lawyer Alex Spiro stated that the rapper could be home within three-and-a-half years on good behavior.
