NASCAR and Monster Energy invited New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to the Daytona 500 over the weekend to enjoy all of the festivities and he didn't disappoint.
Gronk did plenty of partying with the Monster Energy girls, Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez and Waka Flocka Flame, but he also found time to take part in the “grid walk” which is essentially a walk-and-talk interview segment amongst the cars and drivers preparing to run the race.
Naturally, Gronk tried to slip in a smooth "69" joke while speaking with one of the Monster Energy models.
“Hey, Ashley, what’s your favorite speed limit out there?” Gronk asked. “I hope it’s somewhere around 70 or something.”
Ashley somehow avoided saying the magic number, but Gronk's overall presence at the Daytona 500 brought some good luck to the Monster Energy team, including sponsored driver Kurt Busch who won the race and got to party with Gronk on victory lane.
