"I wouldn’t be shocked if he came back to play a few games.”

New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski officially announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday, following an illustrious nine-season run with the Pats that included three Super Bowl championships.

Gronk's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, made an appearance on ESPN's "Get Up" on Monday morning to talk about #87's future, which he says will consist of relaxing, partying and simply "being Gronk."

Additionally, Rosenhaus revealed that he "wouldn't be shocked" if Gronkowski decides to make a return at some point during the upcoming NFL season.

Of Gronk's future, Rosenhaus says (H/T ESPN's Adam Schefter):

"A lot of fun. A lot of rest. Good times. Relaxation. Partying. Being himself. Being Gronk. Eventually we could see him doing TV, acting, a number of things. Appearances. Endorsements. He’s one of the biggest personalities. He won’t disappear.”

“If the team was struggling or they needed him at some point next year, and let’s just say hypothetically Tom Brady gave him a call and said ‘Rob, I need you.’ I wouldn’t be shocked if he came back to play a few games.”

Gronkowski, 29, played in 115 regular season games during his nine seasons with the Patriots, totaling 521 receptions for 7,861 yards. He also played in 16 playoff games, with 81 receptions for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns -- all records for a tight end, according to ESPN.
