“I’ma tell you, right now, he’s better than Steph Curry to me.”

LaVar Ball, father of UCLA star Lonzo Ball (as well as Chino Hills High School phenoms LaMelo Ball and LiAngelo Ball), has more confidence in his boys than anyone on the planet, especially when it comes to Lonzo who is a surefire top pick in this Summer's NBA Draft.

As if those expectations aren't large enough to live up to, LaVar has gone on the record as saying he thinks his son Lonzo is better than the NBA's reigning MVP, Steph Curry. Not "has the potential to be better than" but "right now, he's better than Steph Curry."

During one of UCLA's recent games ESPN caught up with LaVar who doubled-down on his statements, saying the following about his eldest son:

“I’ma tell you, right now, he’s better than Steph Curry to me.”

“Put Steph Curry on UCLA’s team right now, and put my boy on Golden State, and watch what happens.”

"Steph gonna have problems trying to guard my boy."
