A disastrous typo led to a legendary party that was exclusive to Black Twitter.

Last night, one erroneous keystroke sent Twitter, and specifically Black Twitter -- aka the Best Twitter, into a frenzy, producing countless top-quality memes. Strangely enough, the tweet that started it all came from the account of Yahoo Finance. "Trump wants a much bigger navy. Here's how much it'll cost." That was the INTENDED headline. The damning typo in question inadvertently caused "bigger" to rhyme with another word, one that happens to be a well-known racial slur.

After being live for 20 minutes -- well past the time needed for lasting virality -- Yahoo Finance deleted the tweet and quickly tweeted out an apology, making note of the "spelling error." But they had already created a trending topic -- one in which white people could not participate: #N*ggerNavy (with no asterisk). Leave it up to Black Twitter to take an accidental racial slur and turn it into the funniest series of memes Twitter has seen in a long while. Read some of the choice responses to Yahoo's outrageous typo below.
