Tupac has been confirmed as an inductee in the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class.

As we reported on back in October, Tupac Shakur was one of the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame contenders for the New Year, and in an announcement today, it's been confirmed that the legendary MC will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.

Tupac had to be among the top five vote-getters in order to be inducted. He was up against artists like Janet Jackson, Journey, Yes, Bad Brains, Pearl Jam and Kraftwerk. Pac will be inducted alongside Pearl Jam, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra and Joan Baez. Nile Rodgers will receive the Award For Musical Excellence.

The induction ceremony is set to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 7th, 2017. An edited version of the ceremony will later air on HBO, as well as a broadcast on SiriusXM.

You'll be able to cop tickets starting in January.
