No jack, no problem. The AirPods, ideal for use with the iPhone 7, are now available ... albeit for a silly price.

Headphones have been one of the devices that have been late to the wireless game. Though it's easy to buy wireless headphones, leave it to Apple to take the trend to the mainstream. Within a years time, it's likely that these little buds will be floating everywhere. The new AirPods look the same as the upper plastic portion of the standard EarPods, though, of course, there's no wire.

Apple has finally confirmed that the AirPods will be available at Apple Stores and various Apple-certified retailers beginning next week. They are already available for pre-order online, and the orders will also be sent out next week, though due to high demand, the wait for shipping is estimated at six weeks, reports Pitchfork

The AirPods were first announced in September, at the same time as the iPhone 7, which, for the first time, was made without a headphone jack. The iPhone 7 was released later in the same month, whereas the AirPods were slated for release in late October. As October passed, Apple stated that the company needed "a little more time before the AirPods are ready for our customers."

This all sounds great ... until you see the price. You can place your order here for $160.
