Earlier tonight, during his headlining set at the Meadows Festival in NYC, Kanye West suddenly cut off the music in the middle of "Heartless" and told the crowd, "I'm sorry, there's a family emergency. I have to stop the show." It's now known what prompted his abrupt exit. His wife, Kim Kardashian West, was robbed and held at gunpoint in Paris, according to her spokesperson.
"Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed," said Kim's spokesperson. According to a spokesperson for the French Interior Ministry, Kim was locked in a bathroom while the men stole two cellphones and jewelry reportedly worth millions of dollars.
Much of the Kardashian clan is currently in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, though it has not yet been reported if other members of the family experienced the armed burglary. Kim was renting a luxury apartment inside a private mansion in the city, reports CNN. Less than a week ago, also in Paris, she was the target of an attempted assault by a prankster who tried to kiss hear rear end.
