The 2016 Billboard Music Award nominees are in. The Weeknd takes the lead.

The Billboard Music Awards take place next month in Las Vegas, but ahead of the big event, we get to find out this year's nominees. Ciara and Ludacris, who will be hosting the award show this year as we reported on last week, made their way to Good Morning America today to announce this year's nominations in some of the BMA's most notable categories. They were joined by Ice Cube and Common, who happened to be on the show promoting the new "Barbershop" film.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards nominations are being led by Canadian singer The Weeknd, who pops up in eleven categories. Drake and Fetty Wap are close behind Abel at ten nominations a piece (and Justin Bieber actually ties The Weeknd with eleven nominations, shout out Canada).

Check out the complete list below. You can catch the show on May 22nd at 8 PM EST, airing live from the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.
