Although it's about time we receive some new music from Justin Timberlake, we definitely weren't expecting it to come in the form of an animated film, "Trolls." The singer hasn't released an album since the two-part release, The 20/20 Experience, in 2013.
Today THR reports that Timberlake is on board to not only voice a character in the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film, "Trolls," he'll also be creating original music for the movie. He'll be an executive producer for the film, so he'll be overseeing the direction for all the movie's music, in addition to performing some tracks of his own.
Justin released a statement on the new venture, saying, "I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ 'Trolls.' This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all."
The movie is expected to hit theatres on November 4, 2016.
