Your monthly recap of what went down in the hip-hop industry.

The rap industry moves quick, and September was no exception. We saw the hip hop culture bleed into New York's Fashion Week, most notably when Kanye West debuted some new music at his Yeezy Season 2 show. We also got surprise releases by the likes of T.I., Drake and Future, and long-awaited releases by Travis $cott, Young Thug, and Mac Miller. Chris Brown and Rick Ross continued to get weighed down by legal troubles, but DMX was released from jail. Check out the full low-down below.

You won’t want to miss this star-studded lineup if you’re in the tri-state area. It all goes down on October 22nd, so be sure to get your tickets if you haven’t already.

Chris Brown never seems to get out from under his legal troubles. Lawsuits are thrown his direction every other day. This month it was from a fan who was injured during a show earlier this year.

The G.O.O.D. singer and her basketball-playing boyfriend announced their expecting a baby girl-- Teyana is already five months pregnant, in fact.

Tinashe revealed the title of her sophomore effort, JOYRIDE, which was quickly followed by the first single, "Party Favors" with Young Thug. It's looking like a Fall release for JOYRIDE.

Shout outs to J. Cole for selling a million copies of his latest album.

With little advance notice, Ricky Rozay dropped off Black Dollar just as September was getting started. The fans approved.

At 35 years old, Gucci might seem a little young for an autobiography, but he's lived quite the life over those years.

The follow-up to Yung Rich Nation arrived sooner than we expected. Not only that, but Migos later announced their departure from 300-- a claim which Lyor Cohen has since refuted. The plot thickens.

Cinematic has scooped up the rising Lil Herb, under the rule that he will still operate primarily out of his 150 Dream Team imprint.

The Weeknd has had a great year, and the success hasn't stopped yet, with BBTM moving 415,267 copies opening week, including streams. Not to mention, the album held on to Billboard's #1 spot for three weeks in a row.

Logic revealed his upcoming album, to follow-up Under Pressure, is titled The Incredible True Story.

The White Iverson was caught up in some controversy this month when a video surfaced of him using the N-Word in a casual light. He’s apologized and everyone has seemingly moved on.

Senseless violence continues to plague the rap world when another rapper is shot and killed.

After the success of "Straight Outta Compton," there have been a ton of movies in the rumor mill. Apparently Daz Dillinger’s Dogg Pound biopic is more than just a rumor, though.

Surprise release from the prolific Juicy J.

The Slaughterhouse member keeps busy with another album, coming out soon.

Larry Johnson, a writer, is suing Curtis Jackson, claiming that he stole the idea for Starz TV show "Power" from one of his manuscripts.

It’s looking like Ty has finally settled on a release date that we hope will stick; November 13th. The L.A. native also dropped off the cover art for Free TC.

T.I. just dropped one of the best EPs of 2015, and his new album should stack up, what with the Jay Z feature and all.

After leaving Cash Money Records, Bow Wow has inked a management deal with Bad Boy.

It features remix from the likes of Just Blaze, Alchemist, and many more. 

Right as the month was coming to a close, the Chicago rapper came through with his anticipated mixtape.

He’s expected to recover, thankfully.
