Your monthly recap of what went down in the hip-hop industry.

Business moves quick, and that's no exception for the rap world. From the hottest new signings, to movie deals, to album pushbacks, the industry is constantly in motion. It can be hard to keep up with at times, so we've consolidated all of the must-hear information from the past month, all in one place. Be on the look out for this monthly recap of news-worthy items you may have missed to stay afloat with the industry.

This week we had a slight spill-over of the Drake/Meek Mill beef as the month of August began, but that didn't last long. As the month wore on, we were inundated with album announcements, a few label signings, and more.

There’s no new music on the horizon for Andre 3000, but he will be taking his talents to the small screen. The Outkast member will co-star on season 2 of the ABC's crime drama series.

Snoop Dogg hasn't had the best luck with the law recently, and that continued on his recent travels. The rapper was briefly brought into police custody in Sweden before having trouble at Italian customs

Travi$ Scott is known for the performance shenanigans, but things got really out of hand at Lollapalooza early last month. He was arrested for inciting a riot.

Assuming he gets enough pre-orders.

We just hope whatever happens is best for the kid

Tragedy strikes on the “First Hill Drive” tour. A man was arrested for the shooting.

An otherwise very successful OVO Fest ended terribly. Drake released a statement on the matter.

He also dissed Kanye, but actually didn't really diss him, he was just trolling us. He's still with G.O.O.D.

A contestant on The Game's new reality show is leveling some serious accusations against the rapper.

The 43-year old rapper was arrested at the Steel Gym in Chelsea, NYC. Stay cool, Busta!

He’s also going on tour in support of GO:OD AM!

Dr. Dre owned the month.

Here’s your chance to see what Thugger can do in concert.

Fans of Big Boi and Phantogram can look forward to a full-length project, release date TBA.

New York hip hop lost a valuable member this month, as Sean Price, the MC from Brownsville, Brooklyn, passed away at age 43. RIP.

He’s apparently banned from Australia and the UK

Congrats to Drizzy on another successful album!

She kept it classy.

Congrats to the Compton MC!

Migos' Yung Rich Nation Debuts At #3

They moved 15k in sales,

Congrats to Post Malone! Hopefully this means more new music in the near future.

Young Money getting sued is nothing new, though.

Will it live up to the hype that Straight Outta Compton has created for feature-length hip hop flicks?

Like we said, nothing new.

The Mob may have to stop stage-diving.

The IRS is coming after the Rubber Band Man for $4.5 million he reportedly owes.

"All because I didn't want to ditch the technogy [sic] everyone will be using in the next 6 months," he said of the incident on Twitter. "Do what you want kids."

Fuk what they talkin' bout...

In a month that was chalk-full of elementary beef, Jay Electronica calls out a couple of hip hop’s brightest stars for no good reason at all.

This is going to drop in September, we hope.

Bizarre artwork, but what did you expect? You can also purchase the figure on the cover.

Dre made the news when he manned up and apologized for acting like a buffoon in the past.

Azealia Banks is always blaming someone for something…

K.R.I.T. will be heading out on the road this Fall for a 38-city tour, dubbed the "Kritically Acclaimed Tour.”

A little bit of gossip never hurt anyone. Drizzy and Serena were seen canoodling.

The Rage Against The Machine front man and the Queens MC joined El-P and Killer Mike in the studio.

Fetty Wap names his debut after himself, and gives us a close-up head shot for the cover. September 25th.

Vince Staples and Danny Brown will join them on select dates-- that's a pretty dope line-up.

What do you think about this possible hip-hop couple?

The tour kicks off in New York City on September 21. Be sure to check out this super group in a town near you!

Tinashe's quickly becoming the next big pop star. The girl has been touring the world with Nicki Minaj, as part of the opening acts on "The Pinkprint" tour, and soon she'll be joining Katy Perry for Perry's South American tour. She’s also got a bunch of new music with some of our favorite producers and rappers, and she's an eyeing a November release.

Who’s stoked to hear some new music from French?

September 25th...We can't wait.

BBTM is projected to move 250,000 copies opening week.

Also on September 25th, Kanye will perform his fourth album in its entirety at the Hollywood Bowl.

The film, which recently hit theatres, quickly became the highest-grossing music biopic yet-- upping Johnny Cash's "Walk The Line."

'Tis the season.

Dropping this Thurday, September 3rd.

Friday, November 13th to be exact. Plus, a new single dropped, "God."

Shit went down, as per usual. Good, bad and ugly.
