Last week we saw PARTYNEXTDOOR make a relatively strong debut on the Billboard 200, however he has not maintained his ranking this week, having fallen below Billboard's top 100. We've got one new entry this week, coming from the underground crew signed to Tech N9ne's Strange Music, Ces Cru. They were able to sell just over 6k, making a debut at #40. Apart from that we see Childish Gambino make a big leap from last week's #91, which is on the heels of his Twitter rant proclaiming he wants to be "so white" he's the "biggest rapper of all time." Hmmm. While he's not quite at Eminem status or sales yet, his album Because The Internet definitely hasn't done poorly, charting for 35 weeks straight with total sales of 312,390. 1) Iggy Azalea—The New Classic: Plenty of our usual hip-hop and rap suspects got pushed down on the Billboard 200 this week, leaving Iggy Azalea to hold things down at #19, just one spot down from last week’s #18. After charting for 16 weeks the rapper sold 12,427 copies with total sales of 282,869.
2) Trey Songz—Trigga: The r’n’b singer finds himself at #21 this week, dropping from #16. Trigga managed to move another 10,545 copies, while his total album sales climbed up to 201,961. He’s been charting for 6 weeks.
3) Michael Jackson— Xscape: MJ will always be able to move units, so it seems. The post-humously released album Xscape comes in at #39 this week, after selling 6,581 copies. Total sales are almost at 400k, with 398,598.
4) Ces Cru— Codename: Ego Stripper: Underground rap group and Strange Music artists Ces Cru managed to make a Billboard 200 debut this week, with their new album Codename: Ego Stripper hitting the charts at #40. The album pushed 6,354 units opening week.
5) John Legend— Love In The Future: G.O.O.D. Music’s John Legend has been up here for 49 weeks strong, with his album fluctuating within the top 50 of the Billboard 200. This week he drops down to #45, selling 5,722 units. Total sales are currently 595,067.
6) Pharrell— G I R L: Skateboard P falls down to #46 this week after sitting at #40 last week. G I R L pushed another 5,579 units off the shelves, with his grand tally nearing half a milly, currently standing at 495,214.
7) Common— Nobody’s Smiling: Com’s new album has quickly fallen off the top of the charts, making a steep drop this week from #29 to #56. He sold 4,978 copies, with total sales of 37,581.
8) Childish Gambino— Because The Internet: We haven’t seen Donald Glover on here for a minute, but he returns to Charts Don’t Lie today with his album rising up from #91 to #58. We’re not sure what caused the spurt in sales, but he sold 4,797 units this week, with his total sales at 312,390.
9) August Alsina— Testimony: August Alsina made quite the splash with his debut album, but he’s been on a descent these days as Testimony drops to #62 this week. The album sold less than 5k, with 4,716 copies purchased, while total sales are at 178,316.
10) Beyonce— Beyonce: Bey Bey caps off the list today with her self-titled visual LP dropping down to #66 from #61. The Queen still moved another 4,500 copies, with total sales of 2,031,000. She’s been charting for 35 weeks now.
G-Eazy's These Things Happen drops to #71 this week after sitting at #65 last week. Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP 2 is right below G-Eazy at #72, having dropped down from #60 We saw PARTYNEXTDOOR make a debut on the Billboard 200 last week with PARTYNEXTDOOR 2 coming in at #15, however this week the Toronto artist has fallen way down to #110.
