This week's UA brings you two up-tempo beats and two dark beats to enjoy in the summer heat. That kinda rhymed but it wasn't my intention. Also to clarify about UA, it's not necessarily for unknown artists, it's just artists that I'm feeling who's music HNHH posted but didn't get as much play time by HNHH viewers as I would have hoped. Aight.
Sir Michael Rocks- Now You Do
I wasn't expecting this when it dropped. Mikey Rocks is continuing down the solo path music-wise, and it seems his partner is too, at least for now. Although they're dope together, they can definitely hold their own individually. Mikey Rocks really goes in over this beat from Flosstradamus, which samples indie super star Lana del Rey. Although I'm not that big on Lana, I really like the beat and Mikey's flow. I hope we hear him over more beats like this on his street album Lap Of Lux.
Deniro Farrar- Soul Fly Feat. Boldy James
I haven't heard much from Deniro Farrar, a native of Charlotte. But he collabs with Boldy James on this track “Soul Fly” and they compilement each other well. It's a dark and lush beat with equally dark lyrics.
Phil Ade- Pop That (Royal Fam Remix) Feat. Dee Boy
It's been more than a minute since we've had some new Phil Ade to jam too, so it was pretty sick when we got the news of Phil's upcoming album on the same day. Phil's just reminding us he's still here, and he'll be dropping a lot more new music in the coming weeks, as he preps his Fall debut R.O.S.E. (Result of Society's Evil).
Al-Doe linked up with Smoke DZA for this release off his upcoming project Nose Candy, and he definitely got a good verse from the KushedGod. Al-Doe has a hard flow over this beat laced with keys, it has an eery feeling.
