Beyonce's impressive first-week sales for her new album were just revealed, and Billboard has now confirmed that Lemonade will make its debut at No. 1 on this week's Billboard 200 chart. The sales remain the same as in the initial report -- 658,000 in equivalent album sales, 485,000 of those being pure album sales. And those numbers put Beyonce at No. 1 by a long shot, as No. 2 went to Prince's The Very Best of Prince compilation with 391,000 equivalent sales. It hadn't been immediately clear if Bey would go No. 1 considering the reports of the massive initial sales put forth by Drake's Views. It's now been confirmed, however, that Drake's album will not be included in this week's chart (ending May 14).
With Lemonade taking the top spot, each one of Beyonce's albums has debuted at No. 1 -- all six of them, dating back to 2003's Dangerously in Love.
The full chart will be unveiled on Tuesday (May 3). After this upcoming week, the next week's chart almost certainly be dominated by Drake, who is experiencing the best sales of his career.
