NBA All-Star Weekend is set to go down in Toronto February 12-14. Naturally, Drake is pretty pumped about it. His amateur basketball career has had its ups and downs, and he'll have a chance to add to his bball credentials as the coach of Team Canada in the All-Star Celebrity Game. He will face off against 4-time Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart, the coach of Team USA.
Drake will lead a fledgling Canadian squad comprised of two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, former Raptors guard Tracy McGrady; Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, professional tennis player Milos Raonic; actor/singer Kris Wu, NBA TV analyst Rick Fox; Natalie Achonwa from the WNBA's Indiana Fever; Arcade Fire’s Win Butler; and Drew and Jonathan Scott from HGTV’s "Property Brothers."
Notable members of Kevin Hart's American roster include actors Michael B. Jordan, Anthony Anderson, and Bryshere "Yazz" Gray; five-time NBA All-Star Chauncey Billups; the incomparable Muggsy Bogues; Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry; and WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne.
Will be interesting to see what sort of strategies each coach pursues during the game. The NBA All-Star Celeb Game tips off Friday, Feb 12 at 7 PM ET on ESPN.
