Quavo made an appearance on ESPN's First Take today to announce that he's officially joining Team Clippers in the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. He is also supposed to hoop with 2 Chainz team of East coast rappers against Snoop Dogg's West coast squad, but both games are taking place on the same day. It's unclear if he'll be able to pull double duty and play twice in the same day.
Joining Quavo on the "Clippers" team, which is coached by Katie Nolan, Paul Pierce and Common, are Jason Williams, Jamie Foxx, Miles Brown (Black-ish), Brandon Armstrong (NBA impersonator), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black), Anthony Anderson, Andre De Grasse (Olympic sprinter), Bubba Watson, Win Butler (Arcade Fire lead singer) and Stefanie Dolson (2x WNBA All-Star and 2x NCAA champion).
They'll be going up a "Lakers" team, coached by ESPN's Rachel Nichols, Tracy McGrady and Michael B. Jordan. Players include Nate Robinson, Candace Parker, T-Mac, Caleb McLaughlin (Stranger Things), Jerry Ferrara, Rachel DeMita,Nick Cannon, Drew Scott (Property Brothers), Kris Wu, Sterling Brim (Ridiculousness), Terence Crawford (professional boxer), and Bucks' owner Marc Lasry.
The Celebrity All-Star Game will be the first event of the NBA All-Star weekend, scheduled to tip off on Friday, February 16th at 7 pm ET. The game will go down at the Verizon Up Arena at Los Angeles Convention Center, just down the street from the Staples Center where the rest of the NBA All-Star festivities will take place.
The game will air live on ESPN, as well as streaming via the WatchESPN app.
