The controversial pharmaceutical executive/owner of the secret $2 million Wu-Tang LP is making hip hop moves.

As we reported last week, the man with the winning $2 million bid on Wu-Tang Clan's one-of-a-kind secret album Once Upon A Time in Shaolin is none other than pharmaceutical bad boy Martin Shkreli, a.k.a. the dude who raised the price of AIDS & cancer drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750 per pill. In an interview with Hip Hop DX, Shkreli revealed that he is not done making moves in the world of hip hop. His next scheme: bailing out Bobby Shmurda.

"We’re actually in discussion to try to bail out Bobby Shmurda," he explained. "Forget whether you think he’s guilty or not, the guy should not be sitting in jail right now. It’s insane. He’s from Brooklyn. I’m from Brooklyn. He deserves a fair trial. He deserves good lawyers. He doesn’t have good lawyers. His label is hanging him out to dry and so I have a conference call tomorrow morning with them (December 15). I’ll show up with $2 million bail money no fucking problem. He’s not going to flee the country. I’m not going to lose anything. I’m going to try to make that happen. That’s one thing I’m working on."

Shkreli grew up in an Albanian community in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay, not from GS9's stomping grounds in East Flatbush. If he does succeed in springing Shmurda, it's not a pro bono act of kindness. He expects some sort of re-compensation.

“I’m a fan and I’m a business man,” Shkreli said. “I’m not going to do this for free. He’s going to have to do something for me. I don’t know what that’s going to look like yet. He’s going to owe me one, obviously.”
