Aaron Rodgers says he was simply joking about COVID toe.

Aaron Rodgers has been putting his foot in his mouth quite a bit as of late. After contracting COVID-19, it was revealed that Rodgers had lied about his vaccination status. This then led to a bizarre appearance on The Pat McAfee Show where he claimed that cancel culture and the woke mob was coming for him. In the days following these comments, Rodgers took a lot of heat, and since then, he has only continued to stoke the flames.

For instance, Rodgers was on McAfee's show again this week, where he claimed that he had COVID toe which is a common condition that involves swelling in the toe following a bout of COVID. Of course, Rodgers is going through toe issues right now, and fans thought he was being serious when he made the remarks.

Today, Rodgers lambasted the media for picking up the story, as he claimed that it was completely unfounded and that he was simply joking. Instead, Rodgers took off his socks and showed reporters his barefoot as a way to demonstrate how his big toe is actually broken. It was quite the scene, although it just goes to show why Rodgers has been having so many issues with his lower extremities over these past few weeks.

Regardless of the cause, there is no doubt that Rodgers' toe issue is a cause for concern for the Packers. They need him to be healthy, and this toe problem will only hamper his abilities to be mobile whenever the offense takes the field.
