We knew Fetty Wap was having a huge year pretty early on, around the time that "Trap Queen" started blasting out of roughly 50% of cars in all major cities. In terms of more measurable metrics, he's also killing it. Last month he became the first male rapper since Lil Wayne to have two concurrent top ten singles in Billboard's Hot 100, and now, he's ruling the Hot Rap Songs chart in an even more dominant way. To date, he's released four singles commercially, and now all of them are in the chart's top ten.
"Again" is at #8, "679" is at #5, "My Way" is #3, and "Trap Queen" still holds the second spot, making Fetty the first artist to have his first four chart entries all break the top ten. The only other artists to have four songs simultaneously in the Hot Rap Songs top ten are T.I. (who was the last person to do it, back in 2009), 50 Cent, T-Pain, Drake, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Eminem and Iggy Azalea.
Congratulations are in order for Fetty-- this is huge.
