Part of the appeal of OVO's PARTYNEXTDOOR is his mysterious online presence. He rarely tweets, rarely guests on non-OVO artists' music, and until now, has not sat down for official interviews with publications. Today, he shows up on the cover of The Fader, giving an interview while on tour.
In it, the singer discusses his name (it came from an effect in Fruity Loops), comparisons to The Weeknd and his "private" nature ("I just don't wanna live in this fantasy where I act like everybody cares, and then I look like a jackass with someone filming me in the airport"). Dude's becoming more of a star each month, it seems.
