"Cartel Crew" and "Love & Hip Hop" star Betty Idol is mourning the loss of her sister, Giselle Rengifo, after the teen was shot in the head by her boyfriend.

A family has been left heartbroken after it's been reported that 17-year-old Giselle Rengifo was shot in Miami. According to multiple news reports, Giselle was at an Airbnb when she was killed, and when police responded to the scene, her 17-year-old boyfriend Michael McGowan confessed to pulling the trigger. He claims that the gun went off accidentally resulting in Giselle being shot in the head. Giselle's sister, singer Betty Idol, also known as Salomé, took to social media to plead for help in bringing awareness to the case. The Love & Hip Hop and Cartel Crew reality star continues to openly mourn the loss of her little sister.

"Pray for my family. Pray for the world we live in," Betty Idol wrote on Instagram. "God please hear our prayers. Please give us strength. Please protect us from the devil who took my sister and is taking other lives. Be with our family and the other family who is passing through the same horrible situation. God I beg you to change the world we live in. Stop the violence. Touch these kids of this generation so that they clean their souls and learn to live by the word. Please give our families justice."

Thre are also questions as to how and why an Airbnb was able to be rented during the pandemic. Catherine Rengifo, Giselle's mother, cried while speaking with local news reporters. "She was a beautiful person. She had a beautiful soul. Why did they take her? Please ask him, ‘Why did he take her from me?’" The Rengifo family doesn't believe that the shooting was an accident, and Betty Idol has shared screenshots of conversations with McGowan's family members who have reportedly been speaking negatively about Giselle on social media. Read through a few messages from Betty Idol below. We send our sincerest condolences to the Rengifo family.
