LeBron James wasn't impressed with Drew Brees' take on peaceful anthem protests.

Drew Brees had the entire sports world upset on Wednesday as he came through with a pretty tone-deaf take about peaceful protests, specifically those done by none other than Colin Kaepernick. Essentially, Brees feels as though kneeling during the anthem is disrespectful to the flag and those who have served the country. With everything going on in the world, numerous athletes were upset with what Brees had to say, especially his teammates.

Recently, Brees apologized for these comments although in the immediate aftermath of his original remarks, one of the biggest voices in basketball, LeBron James, had something so say. In the two tweets below, James notes that he is related to a service member that is very adamant about how Kaepernick's protests weren't disrespectful at all.

Tensions have been very high following the police murder of George Floyd and now, there has been increased dialogue surrounding protests and what the right way to go about doing things truly is. Considering Brees plays with a lot of African American players, you would think he would be a bit more sensitive to their struggle. Not to mention, everyone seems to be preaching about peaceful protests, and kneeling during the anthem is about as peaceful as it gets.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how Brees is welcomed in the Saints locker room.
