New York is having a moment right now. From the rise of Brooklyn drill with Fivio Foreign, Sheff G, 22Gz, and others all making noise, to the return of Tekashi 6ix9ine, New York hip-hop is at a high point. Of course, it would be irresponsible to speak about New York rap without mentioning Lil Tjay.
The rapper has been on a rise for the last year, proving to be one of the most versatile stars from the city. Making some noise before the release of his new State Of Emergency mixtape, Lil Tjay finally dropped last week and enlisted the help of Fivio Foreign and the late Pop Smoke for a total anthem.
"Zoo York" will be playing from everybody's balcony in The Bronx and Brooklyn this summer. If we were allowed to roam about freely, it would probably impact the streets pretty hard too. Unfortunately, that's just not looking like a reality.
The official video for "Zoo York" has been released, showing Lil Tjay mobbing out with a large mob of people in Highbridge. There is even footage of Pop Smoke in the studio and during a performance, making this a must-watch.
