Over the past couple years we’ve seen Vince Staples featured all over various albums, including Earl Sweatshirt's, Jhene Aiko, Dilated Peoples, & Common's to name only a few, but now its his time to shine. Today, the Def Jam artist released his debut EP, Hell Can Wait, on iTunes and thanks to the homies at Spotify we can now get an early listen of the project for free.
Laced with 7 tracks, the project is mostly Vince as its only features come from Teyana Taylor and A$ton Mathews. When speaking about the features for the project, Vince said they had to be just right and not just anyone.
“I got Aston Matthews and Teyana Taylor [on the EP]. Besides that it’s just me. I’m not for the features for the sake of features. I want it to really fit and align well with the project”
To coincide with his Def Jam debut, Vince is about to kick off his "Hell Can Wait" Tour in Denver, CO later today. If interested in seeing the Long Beach native live, you can peep the tour dates right here.
