In a new interview, LL Cool reveals that T.I., J. Cole, Raekwon, Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, Uncle Murda, Maino, Mavado and Fred The Godson will be on his upcoming album "G.O.A.T. 2."

LL Cool J's final Def Jam album, entitled G.O.A.T. 2, has been in the works for quite some time, and today we got some more details about the upcoming project. In a new interview with XXL, Cool J reveals that T.I., J. Cole, Raekwon, Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, Uncle Murda, Maino, Mavado and Fred The Godson will all appear on the project.

Speaking to XXL, the NYC veteran said:

“The concept behind the album was to give upcoming artists an opportunity to shine and to put myself in the position where I have to spit bars with some of the hardest rhymers in the game. It's people I really respect lyrically; people I think are amazing on the mic. Loaded Lux is on the album along with Murder Mook, Raekwon, Uncle Murda, Maino, Mavado and J. Cole. It’s a lot of different people that I think got bars. I also have some big dogs on the album like T.I. I have Fred The Godson on the album. I wanted to really embrace where I’m from and embrace my community, embrace my hood and give these guys a platform and an opportunity to shine while I do my thing…This album is more culturally clear and defined. It’s for the street. 85 percent of the album is for people who like hard hip-hop.”

[Update: Eminem To Be Featured]

It appears that Tip, Cole, & Raekwon wont be the only big name artists to be featured on LL Cool J’s G.O.A.T. 2. In a new interview with Rap-Up, LL revealed that Eminem will now also be featured on the upcoming album.

LL Cool J told Rap-Up:

“Me and Em have a song. He just recently let me hear his verse and it’s crazy. He’s chainsawing shit. I think people are gonna be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and him on a record together. It’s our first time we ever did something together. This is a record that I think people are gonna be excited [about]. To miss out on this G.O.A.T. 2 album would be a travesty for hip-hop. You can’t miss this shit.”
