Nicki Minaj is gearing up to take things in a different direction for her upcoming studio album The Pinkprint, this, according to the Young Money rapper herself.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Nicki spoke on shedding her wigs and opting for a more natural look, and how this will translate into her music also returning to her roots. She said, "In terms of the music, with "Chi-raq" and "Lookin Ass",yeah, they're definitely back to my hip-hop roots. And I don't think it's something that I'm necessarily trying to do. As soon as I started working on my new album, that's just the songs that I've been writing."
Today the pink advocate has released the single art for the first single from her album The Pinkprint, it's called "Pills N Potions" and has been described as "uplifting" and "soulful." The artwork features Nicki wearing bunny ears with a yellow background. Take a look above, and stay tuned for the record to drop on Wednesday, May 21st.
