The kid's song is inescapable at this point.

Whether you're a parent, child, or literally a living and breathing human being, you have probably been subjected to the horrors that is the popular song "Baby Shark." The kid's tune is an inescapable reality that we all pretty much have to just accept at this point. This track is played almost everywhere to the point that no place in this world is sacred. If there are people present, "Baby Shark" will inevitably be played. While kids may enjoy it, us adults who contribute to society have to pretend that we like it in order to survive the wrath of children whose brains are still attracted to such harmonic blasphemy. Perhaps social engineering has helped adults like the song too because, for whatever inexplicable reason, Texas Rangers player Elvis Andrus used the song as his walk-up tune.

Using a walk-up song has been a long-standing tradition in Major League Baseball. Usually, these songs speak to the player's personality and get the fans riled up. Yesterday was opening day for the league so perhaps Andrus' song choice was just a one-time thing. Although if he keeps this one up, the gimmick will wear out very quickly.

Until then though, keep rocking on Elvis.
