Sophie Turner isn't here for the disrespect.

The Game of Thrones season eight's final episode aired this past Sunday. As such, both fans and cast members bid farewell to the decade-long journey that was the fantasy-hit television show. As we chronicled the best fan reactions throughout the entire series, with the most recent one available here, backlash and negativity did find its way in. Prior to the series' end, a petition launched and was signed by approximately 800K GoT fans to have the entire final season remade. In response, Emilia Clarke, who plays the iconic character Daenerys Targaryen, stepped in to defend the series finale. And now, her on-screen nemesis Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner, shared additional words with regards to the petition.

According to Complex, Turner recently sat down with The New York Times to discuss the series finale.  When the topic of viral petitions following the frustration of fans came up, Sophie Turner affirmed her disapproval. Relatedly, the actress believed such attempts interfered with the show's creative process. She precisely added: "All of these petitions and things like that—I think it's disrespectful to the crew and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years and for 11 months shooting the last season."

Evidently, the final season will remain just that. Sorry frustrated fans.
