Lamb's buzzer-beater gave the Hornets a huge win.

Jeremy Lamb had the entire internet buzzing last night when he made an impossible buzzer-beater from behind half-court last night. His Charlotte Hornets were playing the Toronto Raptors and with just a few seconds left, they were down 114-112. Lamb received the inbound pass and threw it up in desperation. Surprisingly, the ball went in which gave the Hornets the 115-114 win, stunning the hometown Raptors crowd at Scotiabank Arena. After the game, Lamb spoke to reporters about how he never actually believed he'd be able to make the shot.

"When I first shot it, it felt good, but in my head, I was thinking, 'It's too good to be true if it goes in'," Lamb said according to Sporting News. "I never in a million years thought it would go in. I thought it would get close but to see it go in, it was unreal."

Lamb also explained that hitting a buzzer-beater like that is something he used to practice in his driveway as a kid, but he never thought he'd be able to make that shot in the NBA.

"In my driveway growing up, counting down by myself," Lamb said. "Throwing it up, missing five times, I got the rebound and they put more time on the clock! That's the last time I did that."

The win was an important one for the Hornets who are 34-39 and are now two games back of a playoff spot with just nine games remaining. They are 10th in the Eastern Conference.
