Michael Jordan was never one to tolerate bone-headed mistakes as a player, and he certainly isn't going to let them slide now that he's a team owner. Looking at you, Malik Monk.

During the final seconds of last night's game between the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons, with the score knotted at 106, Hornets forward Jeremy Lamb buried a contested jumper to give the Hornets a 108-106 lead with .3 second remaining. It should've been the icing on the cake.

However, the officials quickly convened at the scorer's table and viewed the replay, which showed second-year guard Malik Monk had come off the bench and run onto the court in anticipation of Lamb making the shot.

"I thought they were going to call like three techs, get three free throws -- something like that," Lamb said, per ESPN.

"My heart stopped for a second there," said Hornets coach James Borrego.

As seen in the video embedded below, His Airness wasn't amused by Monk's late-game blunder.

The Pistons were awarded one technical foul shot as a result, which brought them to within one, but the desperation heave with .3 seconds remaining came up short as the Hornets held on by the final of 108-107.

With last night's victory, the Hornets climbed back over .500 for the season with a 14-13 mark. The Pistons, meanwhile, dropped to 13-13.
