After playing only nine seasons in the NFL, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has decided to call it quits at the age of 29. While Gronk is still young, he sustained multiple injuries throughout his career which ultimately played in his decision to retire. Gronkowski had a phenomenal NFL career as he won three Super Bowl titles, all while cementing himself as one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. Gronk announced his retirement on Instagram last night, saying: "Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be."
Gronkowski's longtime girlfriend Camille Kostek was deep in the comments section of Rob's post, congratulating him on his career.
“Words can’t express how proud I am of you. It has been an absolute thrill watching you perform like no other out on that field," she said. “You are the best that has ever played the game if you ask me! I love you with all my heart! I will be your biggest fan in all that you do!”
Kostek and Gronkowski have been seen living it up while on vacation these past few weeks. Perhaps Gronkowski is looking to settle down with his girl and start a whole new life away from the field.
