Gronkowski had a productive nine years in New England.

Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the NFL this past week after just nine seasons with the New England Patriots. At the age of 29, the tight end is going out on top. He helped the Patriots win three Super Bowl championships and cemented himself as one of the best tight ends ever in the process. Retiring after winning the Super Bowl seems like the only way Gronkowski could have gone out and that's exactly what he did.

Now that Gronk is gone, the Patriots decided to honor him by putting together a hilarious highlight reel which shows off Rob's infamous "yo soy fiesta" interview and his foray into the WWE. None of the highlights are football related, although they do show off how great of a personality Gronk was for the sport.

Gronk's retirement announcement came on Sunday via Instagram, where the pro-bowler thanked the fans for their support.

"Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be," Gronk wrote. "But now its time to move forward and move forward with a big smile knowing that the New England Patriots Organization, Pats Nation, and all my fans will be truly a big part of my heart for rest of my life. It was truly an incredible honor to play for such a great established organization and able to come in to continue and contribute to keep building success. To all my current and past teammates, thank you for making each team every year special to be apart of. I will truly miss you guys. Cheers to all who have been part of this journey, cheers to the past for the incredible memories, and a HUGE cheers to the uncertain of whats next."
