Rami Malek is cashing on his Oscar triumph.

Oscar winner Rami Malek is reportedly in the final stages of securing a deal to play a "Bond villain" in next installment of the franchise. As you likely deduced on your own, Bond 25 holds a significant place within the canon of the series, by way of eclipsing the quarter-century watermark in titles.

The creative team is teeming with excitement over the prospect of landing a newly minted Oscar winner, opposite Daniel Craig - all that remains is for the 37-year-old Malek to sign the dotted line, after agreeing to terms over his contract, which is inherently something his management team considered when they delayed their decision. Industry insiders reckon that Malek's team waited to see if their client clinched the "Best Actor" award, in order to drive his earnings up a couple of notches.

In December, Variety reported on Rami Malek declining the initial offer from the Bond team, due to a scheduling conflict with Mr. Robot's final production schedule. With the shooting sequence a thing of the past, Rami Malek is of a different mindset altogether, with the emphasis squarely on his committed ideals, or childhood dreams. For every young child who dreamt of ordering a Martini, shaken not stirred, a lone wolf existed somewhere off to the side, hell-bent on playing the bad guy.
