RZA has a role in Jim Jarmusch's zombie movie The Dead Don't Die but that doesn't mean he's done dabbling in the world of fiction just yet since the Wu-Tang Clan icon is down for a role in FX's What We Do in the Shadows. RZA chatted with Entertainment Weekly and explained how he's ready anytime for a guest spot.
“The trailer was very funny, but I haven’t watched the episode yet,” RZA said. “I’d better pop in there and bite somebody. I’ll show up with the gold fangs, right? Instead of regular vampire fangs, I’ll have the grill!”
The series is a revival of the beloved movie from 2014 of the same name. Jemaine Clement (known for Flight of the Conchords) created the series having starred in the original movie.
"I did a film with Jemaine [Clement] two or three years ago [An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn], and when we were working on that he said, “I’m thinking of doing a vampire series based on the vampire film I did. Do you want to be in it?” That’s literally it," Matt Berry, who plays Lazlo, said of joining the series. "It was as quick and simple as that, and we made the pilot in Los Angeles and filmed the rest in Toronto [as a stand-in for Staten Island]."
