Golden Boy Promotions accuses Mayweather of tampering with Ryan Garcia.

Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions has reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to Floyd Mayweather, accusing the undefeated boxer of tampering with Golden Boy's own unbeaten star, Ryan Garcia.

Garcia, 20, boasts a record of 17-0, including 14 knockouts, and he's gunning for a showdown against Mayweather-promoted boxer, Gervonta Davis. In fact, Garcia skipped out on a recent Golden Boy card to watch Davis' first-round TKO of Hugo Ruiz on February 9.

Mayweather, who thinks Garcia would get "fucked up" by Davis, recently filmed a video offering Garcia $200,000 to fight Davis' sparring parter Rolando Romero, instead. On top of that, Garcia was seen hanging out with Floyd during his birthday party.

As a result of the recent interactions with Ryan Garcia, De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions sent a cease-and-desist to Money May.

"Three sources unauthorized to speak publicly on the matter told The Times that attorneys for De La Hoya and Golden Boy have filed legal notification for Mayweather to stop what they perceive as tampering this month with Victorville's unbeaten lightweight Ryan Garcia, De La Hoya's top prospect."

Of the proposed Garcia vs Romero fight, De La Hoya tweeted, "Ryan Garcia is a 15x national champion fighter. To put him in the ring against a six-rounder like Rolly would be like putting a MLB pitcher up against a high schooler. Not fair. If Floyd wants to make a fight happen, all he has to do is call me and we'll put together a fair fight."
