Anthony Davis and his precious unibrow dominated NBA conversation for about a month during his trade request fiasco. Davis made it clear to the franchise that he didn't want to play for them anymore and that he wished to be traded. Many believed the Lakers were the prime destination for Davis although the Pelicans refused to do a deal. At the last game of the season, Davis was a healthy scratch and wore a "That's All Folks" shirt, pretty well-teasing everyone that that was his last game with the Pelicans.
Well, it seems as though there is a chance Davis could be back with the Pelicans after all. Newly appointed president of basketball operations for the Pelicans, David Griffin, said Anthony Davis is actually open to staying with the team, according to The Athletic's Will Guillory. This is pretty shocking news considering where the two were just a little while ago.
Griffin explained that he spoke to Davis' agent Rich Paul and said AD has to be "all in" if he wants the Pelicans to keep him. If not, there is a strong chance he'll be dealt.
For now, though, there is some optimism within the Pelicans organization although it remains to be seen how long that will last.
