Reports by Variety confirm the arrival of an HBO-documentary dedicated to the life of boxing legend, Muhammad Ali. This past Wednesday, a slew of familiar faces made their way to the premiere to view the 2-part HBO documentary. Of the notable attendees were boxing legends Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard and Ali's daughter, Laila. The documentary entitled What's My Name premiered in Downtown Los Angeles.

Laila Ali shared with Variety: "I think it's amazing that people continue to do movies about him. There's still more story to be told. He's such an impactful individual. They'll never be another, you know? And he was so beautiful in so many ways. So just to see it unfold on the screen, it's going to be amazing."  Furthermore, the film was stated as having been supported by Ali's widow, Lonnie Alie, along with being directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by both Maverick Carter and Lebron James

In reference to the movie, Muhammad Ali's widow admitted to viewing the documentary as "another jewel in the tapestry of the Ali legacy." As such, the documentary will include rare footage of the late boxer taken out of archives, voice recordings, interviews and more. The doc's first part is set to release on May 14th.
