Williamson is currently day to day with a mild knee sprain.

Zion Williamson was supposed to show the world what he could do on Wednesday night when the Duke Blue Devils took on the North Carolina Tar Heels. While it was simply a regular season game, there was a ton of hype surrounding the game. So much so that even former president Barack Obama was in attendance. Well, nothing really went as planned as Zion was injured in the first minute of the game thanks to a blown out shoe that gave him a mild knee sprain. Without Williamson in the lineup, the Blue Devils fell to the Tar Heels by a score of 88-72.

Now, according to a report from Sports Illustrated, it is confirmed that Zion will not be in the lineup for the team's next matchup against Syracuse on Saturday. Duke is currently ranked first in the nation and boast a record of 23-3, while Syracuse has a record of 18-8. It will be interesting to see how Duke will perform moving forward without their big man. Williamson is averaging 21.6, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, totals that would be higher if it weren't for the fact that the game against North Carolina was counted towards his stats.

Zion is still day to day with a mild knee sprain.
