TJ Dillashaw has been dominating the news cycle when it comes to the UFC thanks to the fact that he recently failed a drug test. Dillashaw tested positive for EPO and was promptly suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for two years. This means he'll have to wait until 2021 to fight again. Dillashaw even released a lengthy apology on his Instagram today, saying he is struggling to forgive himself and that he plans to come back once his suspension is up.

Comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan spoke about Dillashaw's situation on Episode 61 of his JRE MMA Show. Speaking with UFC referee Herb Dean, Rogan explained how he was disappointed about the news.

"To me, it’s a shame because I’m a T.J. fan," Rogan said. "I think he’s a phenomenal fighter and I’m a big fan of watching him perform. But it just taints his legacy. It just does. There’s no way around it. When you get caught cheating – this stuff, there’s no way it’s not cheating."

Rogan also explained how the news hurts even more because of just how great Dillashaw was in the Octagon.

"It taints your legacy, and the guy had an amazing legacy: two-time bantamweight champion, one of the best pound-for-pound fighters," Rogan said.

Moving forward, Dillashaw will have to rehab both of his shoulders. He's received surgery on his right shoulder, but he has yet to get it on his left.
